Warner Bros. will probably discuss possible DLC for its current Batman: Arkam Origins title. It also might publish information on the next-generation Arkam title that will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One sometime in the future.

IGN.com states that DLC is most likely what this announcement is about due to a previous tip it received confirming that Warner would be launching something in early 2014 for the game. Chances of information on the next-gen version seem slim at this time.

Batman: Arkam Origins was released in the fall of this year and is the third installment in this free world super hero franchise following 2009's Batman: Arkam Asylum and 2011's Batman: Arkam City. Origins functions as a prequel to both of those games taking place chronologically before them and telling the story of one of the hero's first years as a crime fighter in Gotham City.

The gameplay has remained the same throughout the three games along with the list of villains that includes Bane, the Joker, Harley Quinn and Deadshot. A new downloadable mission was released for Batman: Arkam City titled Harley Quinn's Revenge after the game's initial release. A similar downloadable mission might end up being included in this new announcement set for December 31.
