'Batman: Arkham Knight' PC Issues Suspend Sales (VIDEO)

Just two days after Warner Bros. released "Batman: Arkham Knight," sales were crippled due to performance issues for PC.

"Batman: Arkham Knight's" Tuesday debut was marred by reports of a number of bugs and glitches for its PC version, causing Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to suspend sales.

The game publisher earlier released Rocksteady Studios' fourth installment of the "Batman: Arkham" series for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week, and while the console owners enjoyed the latest title, PC gamers reported the game was "basically unplayable" in most cases.

Reports of slow loading times, sporadic freezes, missing textures, audio glitches, and shaky frame rates due to a 30 fps hard-locked frame rate cap earned the PC version a slew of complaints and one-star reviews from over 2,000 dissatisfied users.

Gamers also took to YouTube and gaming forums advising PC owners not to purchase the game until fixes, particularly with its system requirements and AMD compatibility, have been made available.

Warner Bros. posted a statement on its video game forums informing users it was temporarily removing the PC version of the game, apologizing to "Batman: Arkham Knight" PC owners complaining of massive performance issues, and promising to address the glitches immediately.

The publisher expressed its commitment to addressing all the issues and to deliver an updated version within the next few weeks.

It also offered full refunds to PC gamers on Steam who have played less than two hours, based on Valve's updated policies. Steam has since halted its sales for "Arkham Knight."

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has also included spec details for PC gamers to help them get rid of some of the glitches for the game to run properly on their systems.

The publisher has yet to announce the release date for their patch to fix the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight."
