'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Movie News: Pre-Selling Ticket Sales Bode Well for Movie's Box-Office Success

While the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie won't arrive in theaters until March 25, advance ticket sales for the movie bode well for its box-office success. It has been reported that the movie has already raked in roughly $25 million dollars only from its pre-showing ticket sales.

After its remarkable box-office showing, "Deadpool" is without question the biggest blockbuster in 2016, by far. However, with its promising pre-showing ticket sales, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" could de-throne the box-office hit.

According to reports, the advance ticket sales of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" are outpacing those of other previous blockbusters, such as "Fast and Furious 7," "Deadpool," and "The Avengers." Apart from their impressive pre-selling figures, the said movies also displayed a strong showing at the box office, making more than $100 million just on their opening weekend. If the current pre-selling ticket figures of the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie is to be the basis, saying that it will be blockbuster, too, would be an understatement.

However, in order for the movie to break the record of "Fast and Furious 7" for having the biggest pre-summer opening, it faces the challenge of making more than $152 million within the first three days of its opening.

"As expected, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is anticipated by the fan male audience… the audience profile is 78 percent male, massively over indexing between age 14-49. This is your avid opening weekend audience with some 70 percent attending films during opening week, spending 3.2 times more than the typical US moviegoer," said Movio Co-Founder and Chief Executive Will Palmer.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is top-billed by Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as Batman and Superman, respectively.
