'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' News: Wonder Woman 'Wins,' Reviews Say
Earlier this week, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" held an early screening in New York City that was attended by no less than the stars of the movie itself. While it's true that those who were privileged to see the highly anticipated film in advance are bound to an embargo that prohibits them from releasing spoilers until Tuesday next week, that didn't stop them from sharing how awesome the movie is. Basing on the comments though, it is apparent that the victor in the battle between Batman and Superman is, well, Wonder Woman.
According to The Sun, the movie is intense and boasts of special effects, plots twists, and geeky references. The website said that, on the whole, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is an emotionally charged punch-up but there is no denying that Gal Gadot is the real show-stealer for her impressive portrayal of Wonder Woman.
Interestingly, many have said good things about Gadot's performance as the Amazonian warrior princess. A certain Tracy tweeted that it was only during Wonder Woman's entrance in the movie when the moviegoers cheered and applauded. Other tweets confirmed this by saying that the crowd went crazy when Gadot's character entered the frame and generated the loudest applause in the entire movie.
It can be recalled that many people were less than happy when DC and Warner Bros. announced that Gadot would be suiting up as Wonder Woman. For them, the former Miss Universe-Israel-turned Hollywood actress was too thin to don the Amazonian warrior princess' suit. Gadot herself said during her recent interview on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" that there were people who were even critical of her, well, supposedly small breasts.
Meanwhile, there are some who opined that Henry Cavill imbibes a stronger Superman vibe in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as compared to the first time he portrayed the role via "Man of Steel." As far as Batman is concerned, some declared that Ben Affleck's Batman is the best version of the Dark Knight that they have ever seen.
Some tweeted advising the fans planning to see "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" to brace themselves as the movie is not exactly what its trailers suggest.
On the whole, the restricted comments of those who have already seen the movie are leaning towards the positive. Those who were not lucky enough to see the movie in advance can only confirm the veracity of the good things said about the movie when they themselves line up in the theaters today for the opening day of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
