'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' news: Movie puts 'Man of Steel 2' on hold; Jesse Eisenberg says set is 'intimate'
Jesse Eisenberg has nothing but good things to say about his experience in the set of "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice," stating that the production boasted of nothing but "respect and intimacy."
Upon wrapping up his filming for his appearance in the film, Eisenberg said, "The environment on the set is one of respect and intimacy and allows the actors to do what actors do well even in the context of this huge and larger scope."
In a recent interview with Collider, the actor praised director Zack Snyder and the writers for putting together what could be the biggest film in the DC universe history.
Fans will see Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Superman's main nemesis. The storyline contains a lot of characters and the actor admitted that he didn't really see the movie's future until he saw the trailer. "So watching the trailer for the first time, was when I really got a good sense of the overall movie," he said.
He also said he is amazed at the attention that fans are giving off, as he is not entirely used to such adoration from fans. He said he was particularly awed by the fact that fans would go as far as breaking down every image or poster being released, as well as each trailer being unveiled.
Meanwhile, several outlets have claimed that the movie sporting the battle between the biggest heroes in the DC world has put any future plans for a "Man of Steel" sequel on hold.
The reports suggest that while Warner Bros. is considering the production of "Man of Steel 2," the fate of the movie will depend on the fans' response to the upcoming superhero battle movie.
According to Master Herald, another reason that the production for the sequel has been halted is because the cast and crew are all focusing on "Dawn of Justice."
On the other hand, Superman himself, Henry Cavill, is said to be up for another contract that will reprise his role by at least 2019.
