Battlefield 4 Gameplay Review: PS4 and Xbox One Versions will Close Gap of PC Graphics Supremacy
Battlefield 4 for the Xbox One and PS4 will be nearly on par with its PC counterpart, a first time for consoles, which are generally sub par compared to the computer versions.
Extreme Tech reports that the next-gen consoles are so powerful that the gap has been closed on the PC's dominance.
The Xbox One version of the game will be running in 720p, while the PS4 will run the game in 900p. What this means is Xbox's graphics will look a bit crispy, but will look a little more shaky and lag ever so slightly compared to the PS4. The frame rates for the Sony console will also be quicker.

Battlefield 4 game makers, DICE, recently announced they are "looking into" allowing the players to customize the controls the way they like them for future game.
"We have looked into it and there is quite a lot of complexity involved in that due to first-party certification issues," said Battlefield 4's executive producer Patrick Bach to Game Informer Magazine. "There is a reason you almost never see this on console games. With that said, we are looking into how we could look into this for the future."
The Battlefield 4 controls have been changed since the 3rd installment, and DICE feels the difference helps along the quality of gameplay.
"When we looked at controls in Battlefield 4 we placed the team play aspect of our controls as the highest priority. We wanted players to be familiar with using spotting and the communication rose in multiplayer as well as the engage and tactical visor in single player," said Bach.
Bach then explained that the default option for the controls were specifically designed to let new players ease into the game while not confusing previous players in the series.
"For people who don't like these new controls [DICE is] offering a Veteran scheme that basically returns the controls to the Battlefield 3 standard, with one major difference--the [Communications] Rose is still married to the right bumper whether you are on foot or in a vehicle, which moves countermeasures and melee attacks," he also explained.
The game launched on October 29, and will arrive on the launch dates of both the PS4 and Xbox One.
