Battlefield 4 Update Patch for the Xbox 360 Unveiled Today to Fix Glitches and Bugs
The Battlefield 4 Xbox 360 patch was released this morning, and has to be installed manually once the game is booted up.
The patch is essentially the same thing as the PS3 one that was released yesterday, and will work to fix the bugs and glitches that have plagued the game since its launch.
"Multiplayer Update 3" can be downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace reports Polygon.
"This patch is mainly focused at increasing game stability and contains a number of crash fixes. Accumulated, these fixes should help increase stability overall in the game. Reduced the risk of a crash when transitioning from one multiplayer round to another. Fixed a crash that could occur when creating decals (bullet hit effects, etc.). Fixed a crash that could occur when leaving vehicles. Fixed a crash that could occur when moving outside of the intended play area. Fixed a crash that could occur when firing the MBT and IFV gunner incendiary weapon. Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the Options menu. Fixed a problem with weapon accessories using up too much memory, which in turn could lead to crashing," Battlelog posted.
EA games announced that they would not be working on the new Battlefield 4 DLCs and expansions until the actual game is fixed of its glitches and bugs.
According to gamers, the online connection issues and server problems have become even worse with the release of the next-gen versions of the game.
"First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right," EA games said in a statement.
Battlefield 4 was released on Oct. 29 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, the PS4 on Nov. 15, and the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
