Ben Affleck Done with Script for 'Batman' Standalone Movie
Without question, the current blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" isn't the first and the last time for the fans of Ben Affleck to see him garbed in the caped batsuit. While it is true that Affleck reprising his Batman role for two upcoming DC movies, "Justice League: Part 1" and Justice League: Part 2" is old news, the latest is that there is a greater chance for him to star in a Batman standalone film feature.
"He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape… there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option," disclosed WME-IMG's co-CEOs Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
If ever a standalone film feature of Batman starring Affleck pushes through, earlier speculations about it will be proven true. The Hollywood Reporter also reported last year in the wake of the "San Diego Comic-Con" that Affleck himself was in the process of developing a standalone Batman project along with DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns.

In February, there was a report claiming that Affleck tweaked some parts of the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" script while he was garbed in his Batman costume. However, in an interview, Affleck squashed the rumor, referring to it as the dumbest thing he has ever heard.
"I just like how if I was gonna go write, I would put on this bat suit first because it's so comfortable to write in. I didn't rewrite anything in any outfit, my underwear or otherwise," he said.
However, with the confirmation of Emanuel and Whitesell that Affleck is already done with his standalone Batman script, it seems that the Oscar awardee for co-writing the 1997 film "Good Will Hunting" has put his writing skills into practice once more. But whether or not DC and Warner Bros. will give the green light for the script and the production for another Batman standalone film feature, at this point only time can tell.
Meanwhile, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" continues to break box office records. Presently, the movie has already raked in almost $550 million worldwide, just a week after it was released.
