Ben Affleck News: 'Batman's' Son Cannot Watch Him Fight Superman in the Movie

It must be saddening for Ben Affleck that his own son cannot see his own version of Batman on the big screen via the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, which hits the theaters this Friday, March 25. As the movie gets a PG-13 rating, it goes without saying that Samuel, his four-year old son with wife ex-wife Jenifer Garner, is not allowed to enter the theaters and marvel at his father's moves as Batman.

"Four years old is a little young to see this whole movie… I don't want him to have nightmares," Affleck said.

The actor said that part of the reason why he accepted the Batman role is his kids, especially his son. In fact, there was even a time he had to pay a FedEx delivery guy to pretend as the Joker during Samuel's Batman-themed birthday party and fight him while garbed in the bat suit. For Affleck, the role of Batman continues even if he has already gone home after filming his scenes.

Affleck also shared that Samuel's eyes are glued on the computer screen whenever he watches whatever "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" footage he sees online.

However, Samuel is not that unfortunate at all as "Batman" is pulling the strings just to ensure that he'll get to watch a child-friendly version of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff," Affleck said.

Affleck and Garner ended their 10-year marriage last year. Despite the separation, though, nothing much has changed for their kids—the 10 year-old Violet, the seven-year old Seraphina, and Samuel—as the estranged couple still manages to live under one roof just to ensure that their kids get a normal parenting.
