Bethenny Frankel Breaks Down Over Divorce on 'Ellen' Show (VIDEO)
Bethenny Frankel recently opened up about her divorce from Jason Hoppy during an interview on the "Ellen DeGeneres" show and the talk show host was almost immediately brought to tears.
Frankel, 42, announced her separation from Hoppy, her 41-year-old husband of two years, in December and weeks later filed for divorce, TMZ.com reported. The reality star admitted that she feels like a "failure" to her fans.
"I feel like a failure. I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it," a sobbing Frankel told DeGeneres.

The estranged couple, who shares a 2-year-old daughter Bryn, were often seen bickering on Frankel's hit Bravo TV reality show "Bethenny Ever After," although she had previously denied that they were facing marital woes. When asked about why had chosen to speak out publicly on the "Ellen" show, Frankel revealed that she felt obligated to share her truth.
"I can't just only be on reality TV and show everything when it's fairy princess, fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to ... I've kind of had the best worst year ever … it's the highs and the lows," she said.
"The truth is, I wanted to rip the Band-Aid off so it could start to heal … I'm scared. I'm older. And I want to be able to say to people, 'It's about what I do now,'" she explained, adding, "I never thought I'd be a role model but I think to some people I am or have been."
Frankel is reportedly seeking primary child custody, child support and life insurance for both herself and Bryn among other things, it has been claimed.
The pair are believed to have a prenuptial agreement, which will likely protect Frankel's estimated $50 million fortune from Hoppy, a real estate agent. Despite being faced with an impending divorce battle, Frankel said that she is now focused on moving forward.
"So this is an important time, because it's about what I do next. How I handle myself now with grace, with dignity. This is the time now that matters," she said.
