Bethenny Frankel Divorce: Reality Star, Jason Hoppy Cautioned Over Secret Recordings

Bethenny Frankel's bitter divorce battle against her estranged husband, Jason Hoppy, reached new heights recently after a presiding judge ordered the pair to hand over all alleged secret recordings ahead of their upcoming trial.

Hoppy, who was reportedly blindsided by Frankel's January divorce filing, was accused of secretly recording the "Bethenny" talk show host on both video and audio and the judge cautioned and prohibited the pair against further recordings. The pharmaceutical sales executive, who shares a 3-year-old daughter, Brynn, with Frankel, was also accused of recording their nanny along with Frankel's Skinny Girl employees, and a judge ordered the pair to hand over any recordings before October 15, according to TMZ.com.

The former "Bethenney Ever After" stars separated in December after two years of marriage and they are scheduled for trial in coming months, as they were unable to settle child custody differences in court on Thursday. Frankel, 42, reportedly requested sole custody of Brynn in her divorce filing and Hoppy is said to be furious.

"She makes all of these public statements that she hoped the divorce would be amicable, but then filed for sole custody of Bryn," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"How could it have remained amicable when Bethenny is doing that? Did she honestly believe Jason would just walk away from their daughter?" the source continued. "There is no way he would ever do that. If it means going to trial, Jason is willing to take his chance."

While Hoppy, 41, had initially also requested sole child custody of Brynn in his response to Frankel's divorce filing, he now reportedly wants a fair compromise however Frankel is not interested. Frankel is said to be worth between $25 million and $55 million and the pair allegedly signed an ironclad prenuptial agreement ahead of their 2010 wedding.

"Jason has come a long way since he filed for divorce and requested sole custody of Bryn, just as Bethenny did when she initially filed. Jason doesn't want to cut Bethenny out of his daughter's life, and he recognizes that Bryn needs her mommy," a source previously told Radar.

"Jason is agreeable to joint custody of Bryn, but Bethenny is absolutely balking. She wants sole custody of Bryn, period. No compromises. It makes no sense because Jason is a very active father and plans to be a huge part of his daughter's life," the source explained.

The divorce trial is expected to begin in December.
