Bethenny Frankel 'Finally Laughed' Again Since Split
Bethenny Frankel has admitted her struggle with happiness following her split from husband Jason Hoppy via Twitter this week.
The Skinnygirl founder announced the divorce just two days before Christmas and cited her "great sadness" over the decision.
Following the announcement, Frankel was spotted spending the holidays in Aspen, Colo., and one fan even tweeted about seeing of the former "Real Housewives of New York" star in the mountain town.
Amidst shopping at the Prada store and dining with friends at local hot spots, the 42-year-old did not reveal her holiday whereabouts on her own Twitter account, but left clues by posting pictures of ski gear-clad friends.
Moreover, Frankel indicated a lack of laughter in her life by posting on the social media site.
"This is my friend's husband who came in the room & she asked if his outfit was from Gymboree," wrote the reality television star. "So I finally laughed."
Frankel included a photo of a friend wearing a matching pajama set.
Also among her honest and self-deprecating posts to Twitter, Frankel posted a photo of her lunch including onion rings and French fries with the caption: "This is where I am in my life right now."
The author and talk show host went on to include an important message she had received through her recent emotional fallout.
"The best advice I've been given in awhile is to 'just breathe,'" wrote Frankel on Twitter on Friday.
Meanwhile, sources close to Frankel say that her split from Hoppy was amicable, but that the soon-to-be-ex spouses are having a hard time with the decision to go their separate ways.
"They're both devastated," a friend of the couple told Us Magazine.
Frankel and her husband of three years met in 2008 and got engaged less than a year later. The pair shares daughter Bryn, 2.
"They really tried [to make the marriage work," the source added. "They grew apart. She is very upset."
