'Better Call Saul' News: Series' Season Two To Reveal Jimmy McGill's Romantic Side
The season two opening episode of AMC's "Better Call Saul" will continue the events that will lead to Jimmy McGill's becoming Saul Goodman, his alter-ego in "Breaking Bad," which is the basis for the spinoff series. The premiere episode is dubbed as "Switch" and airs on Feb. 15.
The show's co-creator, Peter Gould, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that the upcoming season of the series will cast a spotlight on McGill's romantic side.The co-producer of the show disclosed that McGill's relationship with Kim Wexler, played by Rhea Seehorn, will deepen, not only on a professional level but personally, too. Hence, McGill's romantic's side will finally be brought to light.
"Season 2 is all about what people are willing to do for the things that they care about. What does that show about you? What gets to your heart? And along with that, how far are you willing to go for the things that you care about personally, and what is that going to mean to everybody else," he said as he hinted on what the show's loyal viewers can expect.

Gould also revealed that the "Better Call Saul" season two will involve a lot about McGill's world, featuring the things that he cares about. These will affect Jonathan Banks, Mike Ehrmentraut character, and bring him to "very dark paths."
Another thing that will set the "Better Call Saul" season two apart from its preceding season is the presence of parallel tracks in the upcoming season. According to Gould, in a way, it will be tantamount to narrating two different stories at once and eventually intertwining them at various points.
Meanwhile, according to Comic Book Resources, AMC has released an all-new digital comic book as a prelude to the "Better Call Saul" season two premiere on Monday. The digital comic book comes in six parts and speaks allegorically to the events of the TV series season two so that viewers can be more guided on the adventures of Saul Goodman.
