'Better Call Saul' Season 2 Promo Reveals Jimmy's Evolution into Saul
"Better Call Saul" season 2 will see Jimmy McGill slowly evolving into Saul Goodman, based on the latest promotional clip for the AMC series.
The new promo for "Better Call Saul" season 2 features interviews with co-creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan, who revealed that Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) will slowly become Saul Goodman as the story develops. Chuck will also start looking like the main villain in the new installment of the series, according to iDigital Times.
Odenkirk also hinted that anything could happen in the second season of the series. It can be remembered that when season 1 ended, his character was beset by a series of betrayals, tragedies, and disappointments. When the show returns, Jimmy will choose to give up on being good and let Saul take over his personality, Design & Trend reports.
Gould said the situation will turn dark and big things will happen, the report adds.
"Is Saul Goodman Jimmy McGill's true nature?" said Gilligan. "It remains to be seen."
Jonathan Banks, who plays retired policeman Mike, described his character as a bad and flawed person because of his involvement in shady activities. He said Jimmy is about to have more interactions with Mike as he decides to immerse himself in illegal transactions.
In "Better Call Saul" season 2, the spotlight will continue to be focused on Mike, Kim, Jimmy, and his brother Chuck. While Nacho, Tuco, and Saul's other criminal links are not seen in the said promo, it hints that Chuck will be sabotaging Jimmy's plans, the report details.
Instead of bringing them closer, the second season of "Better Call Saul" may see the gap between the two lawyer brothers widening all the more. It seems that Jimmy's fallout with Chuck will be the final event that will drive him to turn rogue.
"Better Call Saul" season 2 airs on Feb. 15 on AMC.
