'Better Call Saul' Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers, and News: Trailer Teases Jimmy McGill's Transformation

Fans of "Better Call Saul" need not wait any longer for a glimpse of the upcoming season as the first trailer has landed on TV screens last week and it seems a new Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) will be depicted in season 2.

Those who followed the first season know very well how Jimmy McGill, a.k.a Saul Goodman, has done everything in his power to stay on the right track, despite being caught up between his conscience and the wiles of twisted morality.

The last episode of season 1 saw the lawyer making a comeback to Chicago. While many fans were totally knocked off with the unexpected twist of events, Saul's walk down memory lane in the finale paved the way for an interesting start that would kick off season 2.

According to The Verge, the new trailer only showed some scenes from season 1. It is unclear what production wants to deliver to viewers just yet but a sharp shot of Odenkirk may suggest that the lover of good and right will now turn into a whole new different person.

Also in the finale, Jimmy went back his past in search of Marco (Mel Rodriguez) only to find his long-lost friend in the same spot where he left him, but is a different man. To add to the insult, Chuck (Michael McKean) made Jimmy's straight path a dream and the Kettlemans didn't want to trust him. Broken and frustrated over the incidents in season 1, Jimmy might be in for a change in season 2.

Armed with his painful past and the betrayal of the people closest to his heart, Jimmy will most probably start heading toward the shadows of the law where truths are all lies and every trial comes with a hefty price.

There is no release date announced just yet but many outlets suggest that season 2 of "Better Call Saul" will come early next year.
