'Better Call Saul' Season 2 Spoilers: Jimmy McGill's Transformation into Saul Goodman
As a television newbie, "Better Call Saul" has become one of the most promising shows that ever stepped into the small screens and with a much stronger promise for an action-packed season 2, fans are in for a roller coaster ride with none other than Saul Goodman.
Season 1 ended with a shocking cliff-hanger. Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill was left in the middle of a crossroad where he has to choose either to walk the straight path he has tried for so long to tread, or walk the wide path of his own "Slippin' Jimmy."
While the promise of a possible clean and neat job with a large firm sounds perfectly ironic for Jimmy, showrunner Peter Gould has something else in mind to make the plot more interesting for fans who showed loyalty to the show.
According to TV Line, Gould said in a statement, "Jimmy McGill's journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in season 2. He goes to places we'd never, ever expected." This only means one thing — the story of how Jimmy became Saul Goodman in "Breaking Bad" will finally be told.
Netflix's trailer for season 2 sees Jimmy faced with guns, guns, and more guns. It seems his choice to take the risky path of the law won't be easy on him. On the other hand, this change means a lot of adventure and fun for viewers.
Also, Gould had something to say about Jimmy's friend, Mike Ehrmantraut, played by Emmy nominee Jonathan Banks. "As for Mike Ehrmantraut, he's pulled deeper into a world he was sure he'd left forever." Gould's statements make up for an explosive, exposing season that will hopefully win the hearts of Netflix fans.
The first season garnered a number of Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Support Actor. While the series didn't take home any trophies, season 2 is looking forward to more nominations, and finally, a number of golds for the Netflix original.
"Better Call Saul" starts airing in the United States on Feb. 15, 2016.
