'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Spoilers: Giancarlo Esposito Previews a 'Different' and 'Less Jaded' Gus Fring

"Better Call Saul" is officially returning for its third season in April, and fans are going to see another familiar face from "Breaking Bad." Giancarlo Esposito, who played Gus Fring in the original series, will be reprising his role for the prequel.

In an interview with AMC last month, Esposito revealed where his character will be in terms of development when "Better Call Saul" premieres.

"He's a different guy. He's a little fresher, a little less jaded," Esposito explained. "The time period alone takes us to a time where his look may be little bit different. I wanted him to be little more hopeful, a little more energetic, maybe not as definitive in some of his actions because he's a Gus that we've never met before."

Esposito has also teased that a big arc to look forward to is "to see how Mike becomes an intrinsic part of the operation" and the overall relationship between Gus and Mike (Jonathan Banks).

Fans were treated to a first look at Esposito's Gus in a promo released by the network. The clip, which spans 30 seconds, features Gus' fast food restaurant, Los Pollos Hermanos. It is presented as a commercial for the joint and even sees Gus himself assuring viewers that their curly fries are a must-try.

AMC has also released the upcoming season's official synopsis via their website. It can be recalled that Chuck (Michael McKean) worked to expose Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) in the previous installment, and the aftermath of that will be depicted in the new season. Jimmy and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) will suffer the most as both their law careers and relationship is put under fire. Season 3 will also continue to portray Jimmy's slow transformation into Saul Goodman, the character fans were introduced to in "Breaking Bad."

"Better Call Saul" season 3 will premiere on April 10 at 10 p.m. EST on AMC.
