'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Spoilers News: How Gus Fring's Return Ushers More 'Breaking Bad' Comebacks
The return of "Breaking Bad" favorite Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) in "Better Call Saul" season 3 is just the tip of the iceberg of cameos planned for the spinoff.
It looks like having the drug kingpin and restaurateur back into the fold meant that the people Fring interacted with in "Breaking Bad" could be brought along too.
This is what "Better Call Saul" lead star Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy McGill in the series, teased in an interview with "Popcorn with Peter Travers" on ABC.
"[Fring's] back. Other characters as well. I can't spill beans [but] people who would be around Gus. People who would be interacting with Gus. So, think about that," the actor teased of the cameos to expect in "Better Call Saul" season 3.
"So, yes, anything can happen, anyone can appear and more people will be appearing. Fring being the biggest presence from 'Breaking Bad.' But more than that and it's so exciting," he went on to say.
There are tons of talks with regards to who else will make an appearance in "Better Call Saul" season 3. Not too long ago, Aaron Paul hinted that he will reprise his "Breaking Bad" role Jesse Pinkman in the series in the upcoming season.
The actor said during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that "We just — or they just — wrapped the [latest] season. He then played coy, saying "Maybe I already shot."
Other characters expected to find their way in the spinoff include Walter White with his portrayer Bryan Cranston even invited to direct an episode of "Better Call Saul" season 3.
Last year, Betsy Brandt, who played the role of Walter White's sister-in-law Marie in "Breaking Bad," also said during a chat with Huffington Post that her character and Hank (Dean Norris) returning is not "out of the question."
"You know, it's definitely been discussed and I feel like that's something that we could see. I'll do anything those guys want," the actress said.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 premieres Monday, April 10, at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
