Beyonce and Jay-Z News 2017: Knowles-Carter Family Spends Weekend in New Orleans
The Knowles-Carter family spent their weekend courtside when they attended the 2017 NBA All-Star game in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Pop music icon Beyoncé and her husband, music mogul Jay-Z, were spotted sitting courtside at the game on Sunday night with their 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
The 35-year-old expectant mother of twins was seen smiling as she enjoyed watching the game with her whole family. Her sizeable baby bump was noticeable though she wore a large, floral, robe-like garment over a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Jay-Z, on the other hand, was casual and comfortable in his burgundy hoodie and dark pants.
While her parents enjoyed the basketball game, Blue reportedly focused most of her attention on her cotton candy as well as one of the game's mascots. A video uploaded on Twitter showed the young girl receiving a basketball jersey. Another clip showed Blue's parents pinching her cheeks when the camera panned to their family.
As previously reported by E! News, Beyoncé and her famous family spent Saturday, Feb. 18, enjoying the sights of New Orleans. They also dined at the Southern comfort food restaurant Willa Jean with Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, and her son, Daniel Julez Smith. The group was seen indulging in fried chicken and biscuits.
A source told E! News that the Knowles-Carter family seemed like a "very happy family" and that Beyoncé looked "happy and in a good mood."
The family's outing comes just a few weeks after the pop superstar showed off her pregnant belly in an Instagram photo, announcing that she and Jay-Z would be welcoming twins.
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over," Beyoncé captioned the photo. "We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters."
The "Formation" singer also showed off her baby bump in a show-stopping performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 12.
