Beyoncé Cancels Nashville Concert as Source Claims 'Lemonade' Infidelity Issue Is a Market Strategy
Just days after Beyoncé's "Formation" tour kicked-off, the famous singer has cancelled her Nashville concert which is supposed to be held on May 5.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the Nissan Stadium event was set to be Beyoncé's fifth stop after she launched the tour in Miami, Florida on Wednesday. During the Miami show, the music sensation dedicated "Halo" to her "beautiful husband" Jay Z, amid rumors of his infidelity.
A representative told E! News that the Tennessee concert will definitely be rescheduled though no specific reason was given as speculations regarding marital stress between the Queen B and Jay Z continue to batter Beyoncé's latest album, "Lemonade."
The rumors about Jay Z's alleged infidelity once again emerged after Beyoncé released "Lemonade" on HBO wherein some of the tracks seemed to imply that her husband has been cheating on her.
Designer Rachel Roy has been involved in the controversy and she received a lot of hate from Beyoncé's fans. She has since denied the allegations. British singer Rita Ora also received rage from the Beyhive but she also clarified the accusations.
As opposed to the purported marital strain that fans speculate regarding Beyoncé and Jay Z, the latter was spotted in his wife's opening concert on Wednesday, along with their daughter, Blue Ivy.
Multiple outlets also report that the Queen B expressed her thankfulness to her family for their all-out support.
Meanwhile, a source close to the "Lemonade" production told Page Six that there is no cheating involved in Beyoncé's new releases. Instead the couple created the storyline so they can sell the "Love on Top" singer's new singles.
"They develop these storylines to sell albums...Do you think Jay would release her album [on his own] Tidal if it really was all about him? They're marketing masters. They're pros at this. The more attention, the more they sell, the better," the insider explained.
As for the other concerts, all other tour dates will push through and details about the rescheduled set will soon be announced.
