Beyonce 'Diva' Demands Include Red Toilet Paper, $900 Straws?

Beyonce Knowles has been accused of making over-the-top demands while performing her Mrs. Carter world tour, with reports branding her a "diva" for making unusual requests.

The 31-year-old Grammy award-winning singer will perform a total of 65 shows over the space of five months as part of what is undoubtedly one of the biggest and most grueling tours of her career. Reports claim the singer has a list of requirements that must be met in order to make her tour experience more pleasant.

"All crew members have to wear 100% cotton; Alkaline water must be chilled to 21 degrees and served with $900 titanium straws; bathrooms must have new toilet seats and red toilet paper at every venue; hand-carved ice balls should be made after each show to cool her throat," a source revealed to the Daily Star UK.

Beyonce kicked off the first of five shows at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday, and a source revealed the singer uses the venue's newly refurbished, luxury dressing rooms, in addition to a space that is typically used to accommodate entire sports teams.

"They are much bigger though, and she was given free rein to refurbish them to her own taste," a source told The London Evening Standard regarding the larger rooms.

"They're also in a quieter part of the backstage area, which gives her a better atmosphere to get focused for her shows."

Staff members were reportedly ordered to customize the rooms in accordance with Beyonce's personal taste by adding white drapes, leather sofas, and dramatic carpeting.

Junk food is reportedly banned from the premises, and instead the singer and her crew are served platters of almonds and oatcakes along with a salad bar.

The report comes one week after it was revealed that Beyonce banned all professional photographers from her tour following an incident that occurred at the 2013 Super Bowl.

"Instead, news outlets have been given a link to a website featuring shots from Amsterdam, Zagreb, Belgrade and Bratislava," wrote Sean Michaels of the Guardian U.K.

The singer's U.K. publicist reportedly confirmed the policy change.
