Beyonce, Jay Z Summer Tour 2014: Couple to Perform in NYC on July 4?
Beyonce and Jay Z will reportedly launch a 20-stadium tour around the US set to kick off June.
The Hollywood power couple will co-headline the national tour during the Summer and insiders claim they are scheduled to perform in New York City on July 4, according to the New York Post's Page Six.
While planning is still underway, fans took to Twitter Wednesday to express their excitement.
"BEYONCE AND JAY-Z ARE DOING A JOINT TOUR. I HAVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN!" one fan joked.
"If Jay Z and Beyonce go on a summer tour that would be #epic," another tweeted.
"Need to buy tickets to Jay Z and Beyonce! #must," another wrote.
Beyonce, 32, recently wrapped up her Mrs Carter World Tour in March while Jay, 44, closed out 52 dates for his Magna Carta World Tour in January.
The "Drunk In Love" singer first kicked off her tour in April last year and critics previously projected that upon wrapping up, it would mark the most successful tour of her music career and make her the highest-paid black musician of all time.
"I want a spot[light]. I want them to see me. If you all don't know, tonight makes 132 shows," a teary-eyed Beyonce told the roaring crowd.
"Tonight is the last show of the Mrs. Carter Show. We started a year ago and I want to say this has been such a journey," she continued. "In the past year, we've been through so much together. The Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows."
Beyonce performed a total of 60 shows in Europe, 47 shows in North America, 7 shows in South America and 18 shows throughout Australasia. In February experts predicted that the tour would have generated more than $200 million in gross receipts making it the highest grossing female tour of 2013, according to ABC News.
"When I first started the tour, my baby was not even walking yet. I just want you to know that I am so lucky," Beyonce said referring to baby Blue Ivy.
"I'm giving y'all an ugly cry. Thank y'all again. Thank you for allowing me to have a career," she continued. "When I fall, you lift me up. When I'm hungry, you feed me. And I just want to give you my light. I dedicate this song to you guys."
The first couple of Hop Hop have performed together in the past most recently at this year's Grammy Awards, a DirecTV Super Bowl party and Beyonce's O2 Arena gig in London on Feb. 28.
Last week they stunned fans by making surprise appearances at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif.,. Beyonce joined her sister Solange on stage while Jay performed with his former rival Nas.
