Beyonce Knowles Makes First Appearance Since Birth at Jay-Z Performance
Beyonce Knowles made her first public appearance since the birth of daughter Blue Ivy at Carnegie Hall on Monday night.
The singer, who gave birth Jan. 7, attended a celebration in honor of husband Jay-Z's two anticipated shows to benefit United Way of New York City and The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, according to Daily Mail.
Although fans still anxiously await the first glimpse of baby Blue, 31-year-old Beyonce's post-baby appearance was the talk of the night with many admiring her confidence and composure while happily posing for photographs.

Jay-Z, 42, was accompanied by a 36-piece orchestra when he took to the stage to perform hit songs including "Empire State Of Mind," and new single "Glory," which he dedicated to his new bundle of joy.
"Put a hand in the air for Blue," the hip-hop mogul told the crowd also thanking them for "a beautiful time."
Also in attendance were a number of Hollywood's elite including, Alicia Keys, Liza Minnelli, Nas and Brooklyn Decker.
New mom Beyonce recently spoke about how having her first child with Jay-Z has impacted their lives in an interview with Star Magazine UK.
"A child is the greatest gift you can receive, and we are so excited and blessed to be in this situation," Beyonce said.
"Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can't be found," she gushed.
"It's an old cliché that the thing expectant moms look forward to the most is holding their child in their arms for the first time, but it's one of those clichés that is a real truth," she added.
Although it is unclear whether all family members were present during baby Blue's birth, Beyonce confirmed that Jay-Z was present.
"He would not have missed it for anything. He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him," she said.
A usually private Beyonce even opened up about how baby Blue will be raised, insisting on a regular upbringing.
"At home, she'll be part of a normal, loving family with a loving mom, a loving dad, a loving aunt and loving grandparents, just like any other kid," Beyonce said.
