Beyoncé's performance on the night of the Grammy awards was highly lauded by fans and co-stars alike. The star leads the list for this year's Grammy nominations with her nine nominations. This brings Beyoncé's total nominations throughout her career to a total of 62 — making her the female artist with the highest number of nominations in the entire history of the Grammy, according to The Wrap

Her nominations for this year are "Album of the Year," "Record of the Year, " Song of the Year," "Best Urban Contemporary Album," "Best Music Video," "Best Rap/Sung Performance," "Best Rock Performance," "Best Pop Solo Performance" and "Best Music Film," as listed in the Grammy Awards site.

The 59th annual Grammy Awards has been the subject of a lot of buzz surrounding the contest between Adele and Beyoncé. Some Grammy watchers have expressed concerns that the awards may have often neglected the black performers, that there is a race issue especially in the top categories. Adele's nab of the "Album of the Year" has just heightened the notion that the awards may have given Beyoncé a snub, according to the New York Times.
