Beyonce's Mother Says 'Man Up,' Stop Spoiling Blue Ivy
Beyonce Knowles-Carter is spoiling her seven-month-old daughter, according to her mother Tina Knowles.
The 30-year-old entertainer's mother recently spoke about Beyonce spoiling her first child with husband and rapper Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter.
"I put the phone in front of [Blue], and I was like [to Beyonce], 'Let her crawl', and she starts looking up at her Mom and her Mom carries it to her," Knowles told "Access Hollywood" Tuesday. "[I tell Beyonce] like you gotta man up and get a little tougher."
The grandmother told "Access Hollywood" about her recent visit to see the baby, who she called wonderful.
"Blue Ivy is wonderful, I just saw her yesterday, she's starting to scoot to crawl so that's exciting," the Knowles matriarch said.
After she was asked if the award-winning singer has been spoiling her first child, Knowles said
"Of course she is, we all are."
While the singer has no problem spoiling her daughter, she told People magazine that she also has important lessons to teach her first child.
"My biggest thing is to teach [Blue] not to focus on the aesthetic," Beyonce told People magazine in May, the publication that named her the most beautiful woman in the world. "It's really about who you are, and the human being, that makes you beautiful."
The Grammy Award-winning singer told the magazine that giving birth made her feel truly beautiful.
"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," said Beyonce. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."
Although Knowles is getting back into the swing of things after taking one year off to birth and nurse her daughter, she admits to wanting more children.
At the the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala in May, the singer spoke to "Entertainment Tonight" about desiring to give birth again.
"I definitely want to have more. I don't know how many," Knowles said. "God knows I don't know yet."
