'Beyond Two Souls' Ellen Page Lawsuit? Actress May Sue for Nude Depiction in Game
Beyond: Two Souls actress Ellen Page may be suing Sony for including realistic nude depictions of her in the game.
While the video game is animated and Page provides the voice of the game, the likeness of the character is modeled after Page, so nude images within the game make it look as if it is her.
Gaming websites starting posting the lewd pictures of the game on their sites and once Page became aware of the situation, she threatened to sue Sony, who then in turn went after the sites posting the images.

Apparently users who had Beyond: Two Souls were able to shift the camera angles of the game during a shower scene within the game to reveal full nudity, whereas before it was covered with strategic camera movements and object placement.
It is unclear on how the moving camera was accessed. Some speculate it was a glitch, while other think it may be a debug hack. However, because the nudity in the game is there, it means the entire design was put into place. Essentially, it was there for someone to try and unlock.
Bustle.com reports that it appears Page was unaware that a full body scale of her was created. Page has not done any sexual explicit scenes in any of her movies.
It is unclear what further measures will be taken.
Despite the recent controversy, Beyond: Two Souls, is being heralded as a work of art with stunning visuals and graphics as the inspiration for the main character came from Page's likeness, said the director.
"I started writing the first scene of Beyond: Two Souls and I asked myself, 'Who is my main character?' I thought she should have this strength inside her. She's courageous and she's brave. But at the same time she is just a little girl," he said.
As he began his research he found a photo of Ellen Page at 16 years old where she had a shaved head and looked incredibly sad. He knew that was his character.
"Exactly what I was looking for," he said to Kotaku.
"I began to realize that might be a problem," Cage explained after finding himself with pictures of Page everywhere. "Because I realized I was going to have to ask Ellen to be in the game."
Cage met up with Page in Los Angeles and she agreed to play the part of Jodie Holmes. Cage already had over 2,000 pages of script and slots for the actress all over, according to Kotaku.
The game was released on Oct. 8 for the PS3.
