Bieber's Bodyguards Carry Him Up Great Wall, Chinese Call Him A Toddler (PHOTOS)

Bieber's bodyguards carried him up at least part of the way of the Great Wall of China, and the display of power and wealth by the young Canadian pop star has some fans upset. Justin Bieber's decision to be carried up the large historical monument instead of taking the elevator didn't go over well with everyone.

Bieber's trip to China on his Believe tour saw the teen pop star looking to experience all the country has to offer. However, some pointed out that being carried up the Great Wall is hardly the way to experience the journey- most visitors who are able-bodied walk the hundreds of stairs to the top.

"Justin being carried by his bodyguards up the Great Wall of China today in Beijing, China (September 30th, 2013)" reads the captions under various photos of Bieber sitting on two grown men's shoulders.

Some Chinese citizens posted on the social networking site Weibo that the "Girlfriend" singer's antics could be considered immature or disrespectful.

"The way this 'xi pi hai' Justin Bieber hits the Great Wall is really extravagant," one user posted, referring to the Chinese term for toddlers who wear diapers that expose their behinds.

"It's impressive that he can sit there without a guilty conscience," Project V, another user, agreed.

However, others highlighted the fact that there are also pictures of Bieber walking on the Great Wall, and that the bodyguards could be well-compensated for their work.

"Justin's bodyguards must be very highly paid," user @justinismybabe7 posted on Twitter.

"I honestly think the media is more obsessed with Justin than I am," Brittany Patton wrote on the Radar blog. "He pays them don't he?! Yes. They could have easily said no."

Bieber was also spotted skateboarding in the streets of Beijing while his bodyguards jogged behind him to keep up. He performed for his Believe tour Sept. 29.
