'Big Tuesday': 4 important things about Democratic Party’s 6-state contest
The big prize?
Of the six states voting on Tuesday, Michigan has the highest number of delegates, with 125 being up for grabs, which is 36 more than Washington State with 89 delegates.
John Haltiwanger and Sonam Sheth argued in a piece published by Business Insider on Monday that Michigan might be a “do-or-die” situation for the Sanders campaign.
“The Vermont senator clinched a narrow victory in Michigan in 2016 in a stunning upset over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,” they wrote.
“Losing the state to Biden this time could be a major blow to Sanders' chances of winning the Democratic nomination.”
