Bigfoot DNA Shows Human Connection But Some Still Skeptical
Bigfoot DNA has gone through several tests and shows a startling, unexpected link to Homo sapiens (humans). It's the first time that such a claim has been proven by scientists and is causing speculation from those who doubt the science.
According to a press release by DNA Diagnostics' Melba S. Ketchum, not only was Bigfoot related to humans, he may have had relations with human females that resulted in unique Bigfoot-human hybrids.
"A team of scientists can verify that their five-year long DNA study, currently under peer review, confirms the existence of a novel hominin hybrid species, commonly called 'Bigfoot' or 'Sasquatch,' living in North America. Researchers' extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago," the press release stated.

Scientists used the DNA from alleged Bigfoot samples, and those samples' mtDNA "is identical to modern Homo sapiens, but Sasquatch nuDNA is a novel, unknown hominin related to Homo sapiens and other primate species," Ketchum added.
"Our data indicate that the North American Sasquatch is a hybrid species, the result of males of an unknown hominin species crossing with female Homo sapiens," it suggested.
Of course there are those who doubt the validity of the study, especially given that no one has actually been able to prove the existence of Bigfoot. Ketchum herself stated that the DNA samples came from "alleged" Bigfoot samples.
Neurologist Dr. Steven Novella stated on his blog, NeuroLogicaBlog, that the samples could be contaminated human samples from years ago. "The bottom line is this. Human DNA plus some anomalies or unknowns does not equal an impossible human-ape hybrid. It equals human DNA plus some anomalies."
In addition, any videos or photos from eager Bigfoot hunters tend to be hoaxes, and as anthropologist John Hawks wrote on his blog: "No data, no discovery."
