'Biggest Loser' Winner Confesses 'Maybe I Was a Little Too Enthusiastic' in Losing Weight for Finale

"The Biggest Loser" winner Rachel Frederickson's incredible weight loss shocked viewers and the show's trainers alike. Now Frederickson has admitted she may have been "too enthusiastic" about losing weight for the finale, and the show is taking steps to prevent further shocks and to keep contestants safer when the show "ends."

Frederickson weighed 260 pounds when she started on "Biggest Loser" and managed to drop nearly 60 percent of her bodyweight for the finale, coming in at 105 pounds at the finale. According to doctors, Frederickson's weight is currently below the healthy/normal BMI (Body Mass Index) ratio. Her appearance stunned the audience and celebrity trainers who worked on the show and caused a great deal of controversy about the show's safety.

"Maybe I was a little too enthusiastic in my training to get to the finale," Frederickson recently admitted to People. "I am very, very healthy," she insisted.

Producers on the show say that Frederickson was closely monitored throughout the seven-and-a-half month season and note that she "passed all the required medical tests." But now producers have said that they will implement "small but significant tweaks" to the show in order to ensure a healthy transition to weight loss and even after the final episode.

"There might be more focus on what happens to the winner after they are supposedly done with the show," a source with the show told E! News.

The trainers associated with the show have spoken out and voiced their concerns as well as opinions about Frederickson's weight loss.

"'Biggest Loser' is a journey which has its ups and downs," Frederickson's trainer, Dolvett Quince posted on Facebook. "Please try not to look at one slice of Rachel's journey and come to broad conclusions. Rachel's health is, and has always been, my main concern and her journey to good health has not yet ended!"

"I was stunned," trainer Bob Harper said in a separate statement. "We've never had a contestant at 105 pounds."
