BIOSTAR X370GTN: Motherboard Supporting AMD Ryzen's Overclocking Abilities Announced

BIOSTAR has recently introduced their own motherboard that is said to be compatible with the newly-released Ryzen processors from Advanced Micro Devices called the X370GTN.

Earlier this week, BIOSTAR introduced the X370GTN which obviously runs with the AMD X370 single chip architecture. It is part of BIOSTAR's Gen 2 Racing series and was launched alongside another new motherboard running the B350 chipset.

On its official website, BIOSTAR teases consumers by saying that the newly-launched motherboard "automatically detects the bandwidth of software ... for an optimal online gaming experience. The other whole new feature enhances the degree of overclocking performance with Digital Power+ for further performance enhancements on unlocked AMD RYZEN CPUs for the extra performance boost, so you can get more out of your system."

Along with the X370 chip, the X370GTN will also support the Realtek Dragon local area network chip. As for the input/output aspect, the motherboard will have channels for USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C, HDMI 4K resolution and a M.2 connector that is capable of delivering operating speeds as much as 32 GB per second.

According to the data sheet provided on the X370GTN webpage, the I/O channels on the front of the X370GTN includes a piece of the following header: USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, front audio, front panel, CPU fan, system fan and a dual 5050 LED. Meanwhile, the rear I/O of X370GTN includes the abovementioned USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port plus another for the standard USB 3.1 Gen 2 type.

Also on the rear side, there would be four more channels for USB 3.1 Gen 1, a port for HDMI that supports resolution of up to 4,096 x 2,160 at 24 hertz or 3,840 x 2,160 at 30 Hz. There will also be a port for DVI-D with a resolution compatible to a more standard 1,920 x 1,200 at 60 Hz resolution.

BIOSTAR's X370GTN supports Windows 7 and Windows 10 operation systems both on 64-bit process and can bear up to 32 GB of random access memory.

The announcement of the X370GTN was pretty discreet and BIOSTAR is yet to detail its pricing and schedule of availability.
