Black Friday 2011 Ad Leak: Radio Shack to Offer Playstation 3, Xbox 360 Sales?
A leaked RadioShack ad suggests that the store will offer some super attractive deals, including the Xbox 360 4GB system for $199 and Playstation 3 console for $299, as part of its Black Friday 2011 sale.
The Sony PlayStation 3 will also reportedly be on sale the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 25, Black Friday), for $299.99. Normally, buyers would have to splurge between $350 and $400 for the Sony PlayStation. The game console set comes with the wireless controller, according to a scanned copy of the ad published on the Internet.
The 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect is expected to be on sale for $199.99, which is approximately $100 off its regular price.
Xbox 360 Kinect allows playing video games without using a controller.
"Imagine controlling movies and music with the wave of a hand or the sound of your voice. With Kinect, technology evaporates, letting the natural magic in all of us shine," reads the product's description on RadioShack's website.
RadioShack is expected to also have the Playstation 3 DualShock Controller on sale for $34.99 and the GigaWare Recharging Station for the Nintendo Wii on sale for $12.99, which is normally at least $20. The store will open at 5:30 a.m. on Black Friday.
Other hot deals will reportedly include $150 plasma TV by Hitachi, $350 15.6-inch HP notebook and a free Samsung Captivate phone with a new or renewed plan with AT&T.
Officially, the electronics retailer has so far been silent about its upcoming Black Friday sale. Its website has only been offering Halloween products.
In September, Radio Shack announced the start of a partnership with Verizon. The deal was sealed at the time with a popular and generous offer from the electronics chain: $200 worth of savings on various popular smartphones such as the HTC Thunderbolt, the Samsung Droid Charge, the Motorola Droid X2 and Droid Bionic.
Since then, customers were able to save an initial $100 instantly via rebate when they bought a selected Verizon smartphone and activated a two-year contract.
