Black Friday 2011: Samsung and LG Huge Online Sales
Shoppers who want to save big on electronics this Black Friday can do so from the comfort of their own homes, with HSN.com offering significant discounts on one of the biggest sales days of the year.
The website is offering free shipping on a number of electronics and slashing the prices of laptops, LG TVs, video games and consoles and digital cameras.
Some of the top price cuts include a 51-inch Samsung Motion Plasma HDTV marked down to $679.95, a 32-inch LCD HDTV with a built-in DVD player marked down to $399.95 and a Panasonic 42X Enhanced Zoom Camcorder brought down to $299.95.
HSN is also offering $100 off a JVC Everio Full HD Dynamic Zoom Camcorder with built in 8GB memory, marking it down to $249.95, and offering a Garmin nuvi 4.3-inch GPS with lifetime maps, traffic alerts and a dash mat for $199.95.
Although the website is marking down prices on its video game consoles, consumers will find overall better deals at Walmart and Kmart, though HSN is offering a Playstation 3 160 GB bundle deal that includes the console and popular games – Madden 11 and Ironman 2 – for $379.95.
HSN will also be offering more deals on Cyber Monday, though they have not been posted on the site yet.
Although many retailers are opening their doors earlier than ever this year on Black Friday, a recent holiday shopping survey conducted by Accenture suggests that this Black Friday will have the lowest turnout of shoppers because of both the economy and the fact that many will be holding out for better deals. Cyber Monday has become one of the biggest sales days for online shopping. Though the study found no significant increase in the number of shoppers expected to buy online this year, it did jump significantly from 41 percent to 59 percent in 2010.
