Black Friday 2011: Walmart Leaks Toyland Gift Book

Those looking for great deals on toys this holiday season and would like to avoid the Black Friday frenzy and chaos in stores, may want to take a look at the Walmart Toyland Gift Book that was leaked just today.

The retailer is offering significant discounts on toys, such as action figures, video games, sporting goods and dolls, and movies from Nov. 7 through Nov. 24.

According to Blackfriday.info, Walmart is also offering layaway on toys and electronics this year and is still providing its Christmas Price Guarantee, meaning that if a customer can find a lower price on an item anywhere else, the store will give them a gift card that makes up the difference.

Some of the deals customers will find in the catalog include DVDs ranging in price from five to $25, with titles such as "Monster House," "Spiderman 2," and "Spiderman 3" selling for $5. Also, Lalaloopsy dolls will be selling for $29.97, Xbox 360 consoles with Kinect for $299 and video games for the consoles starting at $29.96. Additionally, Walmart is offering discount prices on popular toys, such as Bratz dolls, Fisher-Price products and Hot Wheels.

The day after Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday, is perhaps one of the busiest and most chaotic days of the year for stores as it marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season, with many retailers offering markedly discounted prices. Shoppers have been known to camp outside stores and wait in lines for hours prior to opening, eager to take advantage of some of the best sales of the year.

Other retailers, such as Target, Macy's, and Toys "R" Us have expanded their hours for Black Friday this year and will be opening at midnight in an effort to get a leg up on the competition with other retailers. Kohl's will be opening at midnight and will stay open for the next 24 hours.

Walmart has not yet released its hours for Black Friday this year.

In 2008, a Long Island, N.Y., Walmart made headlines after an employee was trampled to death by a stampede of thousands of people as they rushed through the retailer's front doors at the store's opening on Black Friday.
