Black Friday 2011: Walmart Opens Early 'Super Saturday'
Walmart’s special pre-Black Friday sale, dubbed “Super Saturday,” is going to open tomorrow at 11 a.m. and the list of the items that will be on sale, while supplies last, is already available.
Although Black Friday, which falls on Nov. 25, is still a few weeks away, consumers will not be forced to wait to get a taste of the deals that will be in store on the biggest shopping day of the year.
The retail giant has been using a number of strategies to hook consumer interest, including a Facebook campaign that will keep fans updated on special deals as Nov. 25 approaches.
Another big initiative Walmart has taken is the upcoming Super Saturday one-day shopping event, which will offer some special pre-Black Friday sale items and allow shoppers the opportunity to stock up and get a good portion of their holiday shopping done in advance.
It promises to be a great opportunity for consumers to avoid some of the stress and hassle that will unavoidably come on Black Friday. At the same time, Super Saturday will allow people wishing to get the latest items first a head start.
Walmart released a list of merchandise that will be available on Super Saturday that is split into two main sections – Electronics and Toys.
