Black Friday 2011: Walmart Reveals Deals as Store Opens for Thanksgiving (VIDEO)

As Black Friday approaches, Wal-Mart is expected to extend its opening hours by opening its doors on Thanksgiving to attract even more customers during the mass shopping period. The store believes that by offering massive discounts it can attract consumers despite the day being one of the biggest family holidays of the year.

Wal-Mart will be presenting deals on Samsung 51-inch plasma TV for $498; this is down from $649. The store will also offer a Kodak 14 megapixel camera for $49 and a Magellan GPS for $69, marked down from $89.

The store has announced that it will offer another list of deals beginning at 8 a.m. and lasting throughout the weekend. Shoppers will be able to find discounts on Goodyear tires, starting at $59, a Vizio 42-inch 3D LED Wi-Fi HDTV for $598 and a selection of DVDs for $1.96 each.

The megastore will also offer Emerson 40” LCD TV for $248, and Compaq 15.6 inch laptop with AMD Dual Core CPU, 2GB Ram, 250 GB hard drive for $198.

Wal-Mart has also put forth a list of additional deal incentives as Black Friday approaches, including:

Price matching from now through Dec. 15, layaway on purchases over $15, free shipping on most Walmart.com products, no interest on Wal-Mart credit card purchases if they are paid for in full within six months, and a 10-cent discount on each gallon of gas bought at participating Murphy USA or Wal-Mart stations.
