'Black Panther' News: Chadwick Boseman Discusses Costume
The man behind the new superhero added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was able to share some details about his character.
It was revealed that Chadwick Boseman was to take on the role of Black Panther, who will make his debut in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie. The Marvel character is also expected to have his own solo film released after his appearance in the Captain America installment.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Boseman was asked an interesting question: Could Black Panther beat Captain America in a fight? He replied with "I don't know, man. I don't know. That's a great question right there. "

Meanwhile, he also shared some details about his character and costume. Boseman explained that the mask he wore during filming limited his vision. Another discomfort he experienced was his suit. He stated, "As far as the actual suit is concerned, there's a lot of comfort in the shoes and the boots, and that's about the only part I did enjoy. That being said, the boots are the hardest part to get on, but after you get them on, you're like, 'OK, that feels good.'"
It was also revealed that his character will be boasting claws, along with several other weapons. He also mentioned the use of Vibranium, which is found in his origin city and is what Captain America's shield is made of.
As for his personality, he warned fans that his portrayal of Black Panther is more serious, as he will still be getting used to his new responsibilities and ideologies as a superhero. With that, his character is expected to play a big part in the upcoming civil war between the Avengers.
"Black Panther" is expected to release in theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.
