Black Pastors Speak in Support Constitutional Marriage Amendment

On the 41st anniversary of King's 'I have a Dream' speech, black pastors hold a press conference in support of a constitutional amendment defining marriage.

On Aug. 28, the 41st anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech, a group of black pastors and Republican Senator Alan Keyes held a press conference on the steps of the Lincolm Memorial in support a U.S. constitutional amendment defining marriage.

The 40 black pastors were from CURE.net, a community of African American pastors representing 100 churches and 30,000 congregation members, which was organized by Star Parker, founder and president of the Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education (CURE).

The black pastors debunked any comparisons between the same-sex movement and civil rights struggle while supporting an amendment to define marriage in their efforts to preserve traditional marriage.
