Blackberry Leap Specs, Price Review: Phone Maker Launches New Smartphone to the Market
Blackberry has been doing well in the industry the past several months, thanks to its duo of handsets – the Blackberry Passport, and the Blackberry Classic.
However, the two handsets may be getting a little bit old this time of the year. And so in a new report, the Canada-based manufacturer has just recently unveiled a new smartphone.
According to a report by GSM Arena, Blackberry announced its new 'Leap' handset, a new phone that is dubbed as a midranger.

Based on the report, the device will be just right for Blackberry and touchscreen fans. It packs a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset, and dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz.
While some of the handset's specs include midrange features, the device interestingly boasts a 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory. Unfortunately, unlike the Classic and the Passport, this handset does not have a QWERTY keypad.
Other specs include a microSD card slot that can support up to 128GB, as well as a 2,800mAh battery that can reportedly last up to 25 hours of 'heavy' use.
The primary camera is an 8MP shooter that can record 30fps clips, and supports autofocus features.
In the report, the Blackberry Leap will be priced at $275. Unfortunately, there are no details yet regarding availability and actual release date to its target markets.
Once this new budget Blackberry handset becomes available, fans would have more options to choose from.
