BlackBerry Z30 Spotted in New VIDEO, Device to Compete with Galaxy S4

The Blackberry Z30 was spotted in a new walkthrough video.

This clip appeared on a Vietnamese publication called Cellphone S. It was shot in Vietnamese and not much else could be deciphered from the video. An AT&T logo can be seen on the rear panel of the device which hints that it might be released in the U.S. first.

It has not been announced yet. However, specs for the device have leaked and the smartphone is expected to feature a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels with a pixel density of 295 PPI. It will be powered by a 1.7-GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 2GB of RAM and Adreno graphics.

Other features include the latest Blackberry OS, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is expected to measure in at 8.4mm thick and could include a 2800mAh non-removable battery, 16GB of internal storage, MicroHDMI, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC and Bluetooth.

Blackberry appears to be attempting to match the specifications found on the Galaxy S4 with this upcoming handset. The 5-inch screen is a choice that pits both smartphones directly up against one another.

The Blackberry Z10 was the company's first answer to an ever-changing smartphone market as it introduced the company's new software BB10. However, the device was met with a lukewarm reception as it was behind with many of its specifications. It also did not have some of the apps found in Google Play and in Apple's store.

This new device could help the company regain back some of the prominence it had just a few years back as the BB Z10 was not able to fully make that happen.
