Blake Lively Pregnant? Actress Not Expecting Baby With Ryan Reynolds, Says Rep
Blake Lively is not expecting a child with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, despite reports claiming otherwise.
A tabloid suggested that the "Gossip Girl" actress, 25, was pregnant with her first child Wednesday, but this is not true, according to a rep for Lively. While they do in fact want to have a family, they are currently focused on enjoying the first year of their marriage.
"The story is 100 percent false," a rep for Lively told The New York Daily News. "Blake is not pregnant."
Lively reportedly began dating Reynolds, 36, in 2011 after meeting the actor on the set of "Green Lantern." The couple wed in an intimate ceremony before family and friends in September 2012.
The pair's nuptials were held at Boone Hill Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina where an estimated 70 guests, including actress Bette Midler, witnessed them exchange "I Dos."
Reynolds, who was previously married to actress Scarlett Johansson, previously opened up his and Lively's plans to have children.
"We'd love to have a big family. We both come from big families – my parents did four, Blake's did five," Reynolds previously told Details Magazine.
"A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know? We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think," he added.
Lively, who was romantically linked to actor Penn Badgley prior to Reynolds, previously expressed similar views on starting a family.
"I've always wanted a big family. I'd love 30 [children] if I could," Lively previously told Allure magazine. "Right now, I'm so peaceful. I've never been happier in my life!"
Pregnancy rumors first began just one week after the couple's lavish wedding, when Star magazine quoted a source as suggesting Lively was pregnant.
"The wedding took pretty much everyone by surprise, so there's been a lot of buzz that Blake may be expecting but she's not saying anything yet," a source previously told Star magazine.
