'Blindspot' Season 2 Episode 16 Spoilers: Borden and Patterson Finally Face Off; Another Sandstorm Mole To Be Revealed?
"Blindspot" will be taking a breather in the coming weeks, right after the end of the previous episode just put a significant character's life at risk. Will Team Weller once again lose a member when the show returns next month?
Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and his crew may have been successful in their mission to stop a huge shipment of people for black market organ transplants, but National Security Agency's (NSA) Zero Division agent, Nas (Archie Panjabi), was not as lucky. While retrieving a drop from her Sandstorm contact, she gets choked with a string by a masked man hiding out at the back of her car. As to whether or not she survives, the answer will have to wait when the series airs its next episode.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly early this month, Jaimie Alexander, who plays the series' conflicted heroine, Jane, revealed that this particular question will be answered in episode 16.
"It's crazy what ends up happening," Alexander said. The actress further shared that the episode will be built on a series of flashbacks, for which each of the actors filmed a scene that eventually plays into the whole picture, without the actors themselves knowing what's coming down. This will unravel the mystery as to why Sandstorm always seems to be one step ahead of Weller's team.
Additionally, the official promo for the next episode also reveals that somewhere in the episode, Team Weller will be chasing Borden (Ukweli Roach), their former resident psychiatrist-turned Sandstorm mole, into a corner where Patterson (Ashley Johnson) will finally be given a chance to pull the trigger on her traitorous ex-boyfriend. As to whether or not she goes through with it is something that viewers will just have to wait for and see in the next episode.
"Blindspot" season 2 episode 16 airs on Wednesday, March 22, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
