'Bloodborne: The Old Hunters' Release Date Made Official; Game Available for Pre-Load

Gamers who have been waiting for the "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" expansion pack will be waiting no more as its release date has already been announced. According to VG 24/7, developer FromSoftware and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment revealed that the upcoming downloadable content will be available beginning Nov. 24.

But the treat doesn't end there as it has also been announced that everyone will get a free patch this coming weekend. The DLC is also available now for pre-load on PlayStation 4. Interested gamers can also opt to pre-order now. As detailed in the PlayStation Store, those who will pre-order will get a bonus after checking out. They will receive a Bloodborne™ City of Yharnam Theme.

Sources also indicated that Sony already confirmed that the patch will include The League which is a "covenant-type pact" that gamers could join and call others to help. Additional co-op NPC hunters can also be expected to come along with the patch.

Fans can expect that the expansion will bring along with it new weapons, bosses, areas and a whole lot more. One of the weapons that gamers will encounter is Simon's Bowblade, which is described to be a blade that can transform into a bow. A Nico Nico livestream was hosted by Sony to give gamers a first look of the exceptional weapon.

Dualshockers also reported that two new weapons will be introduced. The first is called "Bloody Gutter" while the other one is the "Gatling Gun." A few screenshot photos of the game with the DLC pack have also been released by the site, allowing fans to see what they can expect with the upcoming expansion.

In "The Old Hunters" expansion pack, the hunters will be trying to solve the mystery behind the Yharnam's mysterious past. As the synopsis of the game says, "Journey to a world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your hunter arsenal, and explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to hunt."
