'Bloodline' season 2 plot news: Danny Rayburn returns

It was reported that actor Ben Mendelsohn will return to the upcoming season of "Bloodline."

The previous season showed the death of Ben Mendelsohn's character named Danny Rayburn. However, to the fans' surprise, executive producer Glenn Kessler confirmed that he will be present in the episode to come. He said, "The DNA of the show is such that the past is always with us. We're going to learn more about Danny's effect on the family and more about his past, and also what his effects are in the present day. There's a very important story that we're interested in telling that includes [Danny]. That was always part of the plan. When we first hired him, it was for more than the first season."

Meanwhile, Kyle Chandler also shared details about what to expect from his character in season 2. He explained that he believes his character is a good person who happened to make a bad choice. Therefore, the second season will see him dealing with the aftermath of his actions. However, he shared that the scenes have yet to be written and that is the plan of the writers for the season to come.

Leguizamo has been involved in movies such as "Moulin Rouge" and "Ice Age." He has also starred in several TV series such as "My Name is Earl" and "ER." Leguizamo will be portraying the role of Ozzy Delvecchio, a gangster. Executive producers Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman shared their enthusiasm for the involvement of Leguizamo in the upcoming season. They said, "His enormous range and fearless creativity make him a perfect fit for this character — and an incredible addition to the stellar cast we're so fortunate to be working with."

The release date has not yet been revealed for the upcoming season, but Bloodline season 2 is expected to return in 2016.
