'Blue Bloods' Season 6 News, Update: New Sneak Peek Clip Teases Tension Between Frank and Erin

The opening salvo of the sixth season of CBS' hit police-procedural drama TV series "Blue Bloods" is reported to start off with a notion that working with family isn't as smooth sailing as one seems to expect.

A sneak peek for the episode titled "Worst Case Scenario" was recently shared at ETOnline and it featured a tense face-off between Tom Selleck's Frank and Bridget Moynahan's Erin Reagan-Boyle.

Pressured over some reports of a terrorist threat, the New York City Police Commissioner makes a quick decision that comes in coercion with his Assistant District Attorney daughter.

"What if you raid that apartment, kill three Muslims and don't find a single bomb on-site? That's a lot of backfire that you're standing in front of," Erin said to Frank.

Apparently, taking risks, regardless of what it might cost is part of police work and Frank will be more than willing to take it and make his hands dirty, if it turns out to be wrong.

Dropping further details about the premiere, spoiler reports said that Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) will get themselves entangled with a dangerous killer.

It begins with a string of messages that Danny read, warning him that he is the murderer's next target. Without any second thoughts, Danny calls in the assistance of Baez to pin down the perpetrator and find out the real reason behind the threat.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned New York terrorist attack won't be the only thing that bothers Frank. According to Spoiler Guide, he will also be entwined over some scandal involving a mayoral candidate. It is further hinted that the police officer will be accused of corruption which will consequently affect the whole Reagan clan.

How will Frank be able to handle these nerve-wracking terror and political issues? Will the clash of opinion between him and his daughter signal a rift that will run throughout the whole season?

Find out more when "Blue Bloods" Season 6 kicks off this Friday, Sept. 25 on CBS.
