Bo Obama Video Goes Viral: Marriage Proposal Video Made for White House's 'First Dog'
Bo Obama has received a marriage proposal through online video sharing site YouTube. The First Dog received the proposal from a two year old Golden Doodle called Ramona.
The video of the proposal, which was made by the Oregon Humane Society, has since gone viral. It was reportedly created as part of the non-profit organization's fundraising efforts for animal shelters.
The Oregon Humane Shelter holds a hug fundraising drive every year, and at this year's 26th annual event, the organization hopes to raise $450,000 for animal shelters. The event attracts thousands of dogs and their owners to Portland, and according to some sources this year could be the biggest yet.
The viral video of Bo Obama's proposal shows Ramona dreaming about becoming the "First Dog Lady." The thoughts have been cleverly added by video editors via the help of thought bubbles.
In the video Ramona is seen thinking, "Oh no! I don't have a date for Doggie Dash!"
She then uses social media networking sites Twitter and Facebook to send messages to Bo Obama. However, Bo Obama does not respond, but a determined Ramona then looks to use a telephone to connect with the First Dog.
But Ramona can be seen thinking: "What do you mean he doesn't have a cell phone?"
Eventually Ramona sends a "paw-written" invitation to Bo Obama with pink hearts decorating the invite.
The video is a play on a number of other famous YouTube viral videos in the past few years where previously unknown people have made videos asking celebrities on dates.
"Friends With Benefits" stars Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis both accepted invitations from people who made witty and created invitations via YouTube videos.
More recently model Kate Upton also stunned a young man who made a video asking her to the prom. That video saw high school senior Jake Davidson make a funny invite to the model asking her to his prom. However, he was left stunned when she replied to him on live TV as he was being interviewed about the viral sensation.
Whether Bo Obama will follow suit and accept Ramona's invitation is yet to be seen.
