Bobbi Kristina Draws Prayers From Fans After Premiere of Reality TV Show
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the late singer Whitney Houston's 19-year-old daughter, may be worrying fans with her relationship and underage drinking.
In the reality television show "The Houstons: On Our Own," Bobbi Kristina is featured with her boyfriend who some believed to be her adopted brother since the late Houston took him in at 16-years-old. Nick Gordon, the young woman's 22-year-old boyfriend, defended his relationship with the famed singer's daughter on the premiere episode of the reality television series.
"It really bothers me that everybody has our relationship screwed up. I was never adopted [by Whitney] nor am I her [Bobbi Kristina's] blood brother," Gordon told cameras. "We just really care about each other."

While the young couple shares public displays of affection on camera, Houston's brother asks Gordon "How do you go from being her brother to being her boyfriend?" The premiere episode also manages to focus on Bobbi Kristina expressing her interest in a music career and her family showing concern for her drinking.
However, Houston's mother Cissy seems to be the voice of reason at the end of the episode where the family celebrates their first Mother's Day without the famous singer.
"Let us pray that everybody finds their way," Cissy says.
It seems that the people who tuned into the episode followed the sentiments of Bobbi Kristina's grandmother.
"Bobbi Kristina needs prayers for strength and clarity, not a reality show! #TheHoustons," one person tweeted after the premiere episode.
Another person called for others to be more compassionate toward the budding young actress and singer with a famous mother.
"Anyone rooting for Bobbi Kristina's downfall or tuning in to her show to say 'I Told You So' are vile, evil people," the person tweeted. "No compassion in you."
Despite people's criticisms about the show, Pat Houston, the late singer's sister-in-law and manager, said she wants to see Bobbi Kristina succeed.
"It's very difficult to deal with her because the world is so involved in our family," Pat tells cameras. "I don't want to fail Krissy and I don't want Krissy to fail herself."
