Bobbi Kristina Under 'Undue Influence'? Family Withholds Houston's Estate

Whitney Houston's estate has one sole inheritor, her daughter Bobbi Kristina, who has been receiving regular payments from the estate. But family members are concerned that Kristina is not making wise decisions when it comes to the money and is under "undue influence." They are seeking to keep the money from her for a time.

Documents filed in Atlanta on behalf of Kristina's guardian, Cissy Houston, state that Kristina is "a highly visible target for those who would exert undue influence over her inheritance and/or seek to benefit from respondent's resources and celebrity," Radar Online reported.

The family hopes that the payment schedule will be altered in order to take the pressure off of Kristina and help her to save what her mother left her. The estate was meant to "provide long-term financial security and protection for her child. Compliance with the provisions of the trust would defeat or substantially impair the purposes of the trust," papers read.

Kristina has been trying to make her own way since her mother's untimely death in February. She has been in a relationship with her "brother boyfriend" Nick Gordon, and the couple was seen wearing matching tattoos on their wrists. It's unknown if the Houston family feels that Gordon is part of the "undue influence" being placed on Kristina.

Kristina has relied heavily upon Gordon and her grandmother Cissy for support after Houston's death. Her father, Bobby Brown, entered rehabilitation for alcohol abuse and has been estranged from his daughter. Even after Houston's funeral, Brown immediately left to perform at a concert.

Kristina was recently involved in a car accident with Gordon, and police are still investigating the accident. Meanwhile, Kristina is hard at work on a new docu-drama "The Houstons: On Our Own," which will premiere on Oct. 24 on Lifetime.
