Bobbi Kristina Update: Boyfriend Nick Gordon Breaks Silence Amid Hospital Ban Reports
Nick Gordon broke his silence on Friday, two weeks after his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub. He denied claims that he is taking legal action in a bid to see the 21-year-old and said that he is praying for her recovery.
Earlier this week it was reported that 25-year-old Gordon, who was raised like a son by the late Whitney Houston, had been banned from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta following a heated dispute with Brown's family. In a recent interview Jerrod Brown, who is Brown's cousin, accused Gordon of taking legal action to gain hospital access in order to see her.
The reality star was placed in a medically-induced coma and remains on life support after she was found unconscious by Gordon at her Roswell, Georgia home right outside of Atlanta on Jan. 31. She is currently surrounded by loved ones, including her father Bobby Brown.
"In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not," Gordon's attorney Randy Kessler said in a statement to people.com. "Mr. Gordon's only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon."
Details regarding what exactly occurred in the events leading up to Brown being found face-down in a bathtub remain murky. She was reportedly involved in a car accident just days before the incident.
She was initially transported to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, and days later her family moved her to Emory where she remains on a ventilator.
Wednesday marked 11 days since Brown's hospitalization and it also marked the third death anniversary of her late mother Whitney.
"On this, the third anniversary of Whitney's passing, our family continues to stand together praying that Bobbi Kristina continues to fight for her life," Brown's aunt Pat Houston, president of the late "Bodyguard" star's estate, said in a statement.
Conflicting reports suggest Brown has shown slight improvements since she was first hospitalized, while other sources claim her condition appears bleak.
Police in Roswell, Georgia, reportedly launched a criminal investigation into Brown's case amid concerns of "foul play" among Brown's family members.
