Bobby Hebert Press Box Boot: Cited for 'Excessive Cheering' (VIDEO)
Former NFL Quarterback Bobby Hebert was recently thrown from the press box at a college game for excessive cheering.
A former quarterback of the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons, Hebert was elected as a radio talk show host for a local Louisiana station.
However, apparently the former pro player was not well informed about the rules of the press box. Hebert was admitted into the designated seating at a Louisiana State University game as a member of the press.
But while his colleagues sat at a desk observing the game in more formal attire, Hebert could be seen in the back wavering up and down in a squat position wearing a backwards baseball cap and white t-shirt. The former quarterback appeared very "involved" in the game, and he can also been seen in a video captured of the event waving his hands in the air and tossing one benignly when the team did poorly.
But according to regulations, members of the media are not allowed to cheer from the press box. As a result, after several alleged warnings, Hebert was escorted from the game.
Hebert was also accused of being unprofessional during an interview he held with LSU coach Les Miles. Hebert questioned the coach's plan of attack, stating that his team had failed to push the football down the field because Miles had failed to bring in player Jarrett Lee.
